For the first time after 20 and more years of Italian Skateboard Championship, Italian Skateboarding Commission at FISR decided to organize a contest open to all the European vert skateboarders, the CIS Vert. Which location could host the event better than the Marianna Skatepark in Mezzano?

In fact, the historic vert ramp where Giorgio Zattoni, international skateboarding legend, will host the contest, part of the Italian Roller Games. Neither Giorgio nor the Mezzano ramp need any introduction, but for the younger ones this 4.32mt high, of which 0.66mt vert with a 3.66mt radius and 24mt wide beast has hosted events such as the Slam Trick in the past, it’s been skated by skateboarders from all over the world, and on its curves Giorgio landed the 900 back in 2004.

This event, although part of the Italian Championship circuit, is aimed to international riders, and will see the skaters of the Open category compete in the Saturday qualifications to earn a spot in the Sunday finals altogether with the best European vert skaters invited to participate in the contest.

In addition to the Open category, there will also be a Masters one, for those over 35, and the overall prize money of the event is 3,000 euros.

Sarà infatti la storica vert ramp dove skatea Giorgio Zattoni, leggenda internazionale dello skateboarding, ad ospitare il contest che si inserisce nella cornice degli Italian Roller Games. Ne Giorgio ne la rampa di Mezzano hanno bisogno di presentazioni, ma per i più giovani vi diciamo che questa bestia alta 4.32mt di cui 0.66mt di vert con raggio di 3.66mt e larga 24mt ha ospitato in passato eventi come lo Slam Trick, è stata skateata da skater di tutto il mondo, e proprio sulle sue curve Giorgio ha chiuso il 900 nell’ormai lontano 2004.

Questo evento, pur facendo parte del circuito del Campionato Italiano, è di respiro internazionale, e vedrà gli skater della categoria Open sfidarsi nelle qualifiche del sabato per guadagnarsi un posto nelle finali della domenica insieme ai migliori vert skater europei invitati a partecipare al contest.

Oltre alla categoria Open ci sarà anche quella dei Master, ovvero degli over 35, ed il montepremi complessivo dell’evento è di 3.000 euro.
